Comments:    Boy! We can’t seem to get a weather break!   For most of May, we had threatening weather.   The one day we had any sun in May ,,,,,it was cold.   Last night, we had lots of sun and the temperature was fine – but we also had LOTS of wind!

 

We have addressed the problem with Number Placement several times.   Mis-Placed/Mis-Pinned Numbers make it very difficult, (sometimes impossible!), to identify a Rider.   Diagrams – of correct Number Placement - are posted at the Registration Trailer.   This website has a link to a “presentation” by the Western Pennsylvania Officials Association on how – and WHY – Placement and Pinning are so important.

 Well, last night, Rider Identification became a special problem – since it was a Points Race!

USAC Rule,1N7(b), states: “,,,riders with misplaced, obscured or unreadable numbers will not be placed”.

The Grattan Race Series is not so harsh; but last night, we RELEGATED, (1 Place), 2 Riders in the “A” Class – Riders #18 and #51 – for such Number mis-placement.

Future Number mis-placements will be Relegated – and, maybe, by more than 1 Place.

 

Last night saw another “first” – two “TIES.   One in the “A”s and one in the “B”s.   The video was excellent – and the Judges awarded equal Points to “A” Riders #46 and #10

 

Next week is “Kids Night”.   A reminder that Registration for Kids closes at 6:15 – Races Start at 6:30.
